University of California to add 10,000 more California students

On November 19th, UC President Janet Napolitano is planning to ask the Regents for approval to add 10,000 more California students over the next three years to the overall UC admission numbers. This student increase is possible due to a state budget allotment of $25 million, along with a matching donation of $25 million via the University of California. If approved, the plan will roll-out with 5,000 freshmen and transfer students will be added to the 2016-17 academic enrollment numbers.
