UC Transfer Acceptance Notification Dates 2016

For all of you transfers on pins and needles, here is the breakdown of acceptance notifications by campus for Fall 2016 hopefuls.  I am also including some historical data to put it in perspective, as well as each UC portal link to check on your status.

Fall 2016 Notification Dates

All decisions are set to be released by April 30, 2016.

UC Berkeley:  late April
Historically, Berkeley is the last UC to release its acceptance notifications. The last few years it has been on April 24 around 4P.  (Regents comes a week or so after.) However, last year Berkeley had an unrelated campus-wide power outage on April 24 that resulted in a notification delay.  Last year’s came out April 24 at approximately 4:40P.

UC Davis:  late April
Last year: April 17 (Regents announcement came with the acceptance notices.)

IC Irvine: early-April (rolling); Regents early-March
This year, Regents announced first week of March, with general set for April 1-30 (supposedly).
Last year’s acceptances came in sections: April 4 – early announcement for those getting Regents; April 24-30 for general acceptances. The notices were very very delayed, not the usual protocol.
UPDATE:  They started notices this year on April 14. Big batch April 22nd.

UCLA: late April
Last year: Friday, April 17;  the year before (2014), Friday, April 18.

UC Merced: Match 4 (rolling)

UC Riverside: early March (rolling)
It has already begun for this year, with one roll-out thus far on March 1.

UC San Diego: late April (brief roll-out)
It has already begun for this year with one roll-out thus far on March 11.
I find the UCSD roll-out the most frustrating. Historically, they release one tiny roll-out early on, and then nothing else until late April when they dump the whole pile. The date often is around April 18. Hold tight!

UC Santa Barbara: beginning March 22 (rolling daily)
Last year: roll-outs started around March 16, then very slow piddling through April 30.
Update:  March 22, admission notices started at 2PM.

Last year: started March 17.
