UCB Engineering joint majors discontinued

Effective Fall 2014, the University of California, Berkeley, College of Engineering joint majors articulation agreements will be removed. This means UCB will not be accepting admission to the following majors:

Bioengineering/Materials Science & Engineering 

Electrical Engineering & Computer Science/ Materials Science & Engineering  

Electrical Engineering & Computer Science/ Nuclear Engineering 

Materials Science & Engineering / Mechanical Engineering

Materials Science & Engineering / Nuclear Engineering 

Mechanical Engineering/ Nuclear Engineering  

Joint majors are generally not possible for junior transfer applicants to complete in the time allotted for degree completion.  Students admitted as junior transfers who can show after one semester of attendance at the University that they would be able to complete a joint major in the time allotted, and who meet predetermined GPA requirements, may speak to their ESS adviser about the possibility of applying to a joint program.
