UCI Transfer Admit Rates Fall 2015 – Social Sciences, Business, Nursing, Pharmacy, Education
To continue this series on the UCI transfer admit rates for 2015, this collection includes those schools that only have one major (business, nursing, education, and pharmaceutical science), as well as the social sciences.

There are a few things to glean from this breakdown:
- If you are interested in economics, there is a big jump from a 46.3% admit rate for Economics to a 63.5% rate for Business Econ to a wholloping 68% rate for Quantitative Economics. (Since these are in the same department, you may *possibly* have an easier chance switching majors after transfer.)
- Psychology has dramatically different admit rates depending on whether you go through the Social Sciences department or the Social Ecology department. Depending on your career choice or grad school plans, you may be fully covered with the Psychology and Social Behavior major. (Be aware, though, if you truly want Psychology and think you might just grab Psych and Social Behavior with the plan to switch, you are cutting across schools, so you may run into complications.)
- Lastly, I am a bit wary of the Interdisciplinary Studies major request before you get to a UC. Be sure and check with a UCI advisor to make sure you are making the right choice. I am not opposed to Interdisciplinary Studies — on the contrary, I have a high regard for it. My concern is whether it should be the request on the application. If you do plan it, be sure and have a strong idea.
