The Bakar BioEnginuity Hub at UC Berkeley for Entrepreneurs

UC Berkeley is set to open The Bakar BioEnginuity Hub (BBH) this fall in the new Woo Hon Fai Hall at Durant and Bancroft (formerly the Berkeley Art Museum).

BBH will serve as an incubator to startups from around the world ,and will provide rental lab space and offices for up to 80 companies. As part of its mission the Hub will provide equipment so teams can develop, test, and grow their game-changing ideas. Its larger aim is to unite scholars, students and researchers together, offering scholarships and programming know-how under one roof to transform research in the life and physical sciences into viable companies.

Since 2006, Berkeley has cultivated over 1,300 founders and 1,225 companies and raised $36.3 billion in capital. The BBH, a donor-developed project, takes this to the next level.
