UC Transfer Academic Update Deadlines
Transfer Academic Update (TAU)
Transfer students are required to update their application with fall 2021 grades and confirmation/modification of winter/spring 2022 courses by the end of January.Transfer applicants received an email message from UC in early January to complete the TAU. All transfer applicants must submit a TAU, including students who applied in December or early January to one of the three open campuses, and including students who have no fall 2021 grades or winter/spring 2022 courses to report.Failure to complete the TAU may impact admission status, so please encourage students to complete the TAU prior to the January 31 deadline.
Hello Lindy! I completed my TAU with my Fall ’21 grades on Jan 9th. I also just finished taking one winter intersession class. If I get my winter intersession grade after Jan 31, should I add it to my TAU? Does it make a difference? (I applied to UCSD, SB, LA, Davis, and Irvine)
Thank you so much for your help!
Sandy
Yes submit it.
Thank you! Also, on the TAU are you able to modify or add to your “Additional Comments” section? It would be to explain the difficulty of online learning in Spring 2021, and an error on my Calc final, that led to lower grades that term. When I first submitted the application I didn’t want to sound like I was making excuses for that, but I wonder if I should explain, if it’s still possible, or just let it go? (I have a 3.66 right now, and if those had been an A and a B instead of a B and a C, I would have a 3.82)
Thank you so much again for your help!
Hmm, well it won’t make a bit of difference but go ahead if you want. ?
Hello Lindy, I have a question pertaining to this. If my schedule changes (i.e a class that I was going to take is full so I’m choosing to take a similar course at another community college), should I submit another TAU after Jan 31? Will this hurt my admission chances at all since its after the “priority” deadline?
Some insight would be amazing tysm.
Yes, submit another TAU. It will not hurt chances.
