Next Steps for UC Transfers

For newly admitted transfer students, each UC campus has its own deadlines and procedures to accept the offer of admission and prepare for enrollment.

  1. Admission decisions — Students are notified of admissions status on their admissions portal. For admitted students, all campuses also notify via U.S. Mail.
  2. Financial aid offer — All campuses notify students of their preliminary or official financial aid award in the student portal. The timing of the offers relative to the admission decision (e.g., with the admission decision or after) varies by campus.
  3. Accepting an admission offer — Deadline to submit the Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) is June 1 at 11:59 p.m. (PDT).
  4. SIR deposit deferral — Students that qualified for the UC application fee waiver may also qualify to defer their SIR deposit until financial aid is disbursed.
  5. Housing — Housing application deadlines are listed below, but campus housing websites will have the most current information. Meeting the deadline may be required to qualify for any campus housing guarantees.
  6. Submitting final official transcripts, exam results & documents –. (1)  Final official transcripts are due by July 1B.  (2) AP/IB/A-Level exam results/other documents (such as IGETC certification) are due by July 15
