After Filing Your UC Application

You submitted your application. Now what?

The UC sent out its Counselor Bulletin and the highlights for transfers are as follows:

Application Submission Extension

Transfer students have until Jan. 3 (11:59 p.m. PST) to submit their application. Although the deadline has been extended, some majors and programs are no longer available. Be sure to refer to the UC admissions site to see the full list of campus majors that are closed:

Email Notification

Verification that the UC received your application
Sometime between now and the end of December, you should get an email from every UC to which you applied noting that the campus received your application. I know Berkeley has sent some out already. Last year Berkeley was one of the last, with the notices sent in the very beginning of January, so don’t worry if they’re late.

Update email
Expect to receive an email in January explaining how to report fall grades and update winter/spring course selections.

Changes to submitted application
There are only a few things you can change online to your submitted application, and these are contact/address changes and adding UCs to the application. To update application, go here.

If you made a mistake and left a college out, or left courses out, or made a mistake with grades, you need to email the UC at the email below and they will tell you how to proceed. (Note, you cannot edit your Personal Insight questions.) Changes or additions to extra-curricular activities have little impact.

The Help Desk schedule for December and early January is noted below. 

Dec. 1–16: Monday–Friday, 10 am–6 pm
Dec. 19–22: Monday–Friday, 10 am–6 pm
Dec. 23–26: Closed
Dec. 27–30: Tuesday–Friday, 10 am–6 pm
Dec. 31: Closed

Jan. 1: Closed
Jan. 2: Monday, 10 am–8 pm
Jan. 3: Tuesday, 10 am–midnight
