Record Increase in UC Transfer Applications for Fall 2016
Last week, the University of California released its preliminary data on application submissions for fall 2016, and both freshmen and transfers applications experienced a record high.

A quick rundown pertinent to transfers:
- There were 33,052 transfers applying from a California community college, an increase of 11.2% from 2015.
- Compared with 2015, from the community colleges, more African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Latinos and whites applied, with slightly fewer Pacific Islander applicants.
- There was a significantly higher number of out of state and international transfers applicants.
