Cancelling or withdrawing a UC admission application
Each campus has specific instructions if an applicant wishes to cancel or withdraw their application from further consideration. This only applies to students cancelling or withdrawing prior to admission.
Berkeley
Go to My Application Portal (MAP@Berkeley portal). Log in and complete a Withdraw Application Request under the Account Tools section.
UC Davis
Go to https://admissions.ucdavis.edu/appwithdraw/ and use the online submission form using your name, application ID, and e-mail address.
UC Irvine
Login to your applicant portal at: https://www.admissions.uci.edu/portal/ . Choose “Withdraw your UCI Application” from the Reporting Changes section of the portal and complete the form to withdraw your application.
UCLA
Go to https://www.admission.ucla.edu/ContactForm/Applicant.aspx and use the online submission form to submit the withdrawal of your application. There is a button to click entitled “Withdrawing your application.”
UC Merced
Send e-mail to [email protected] or fax to (209) 228-4244 Please include: Name, Application ID or UCM ID, date of birth and subject line “Withdrawal”.
UC Riverside
Log in to your MyUCR account and click on the “My Profile” tab, followed by clicking on the “Cancel Application” tab and follow the instructions.
UC San Diego
Go to https://beatriton.ucsd.edu/apply/status to login to your UC San Diego Applicant Portal. Scroll to the bottom of the home page and click on the “withdrawing my application” link to submit the application withdrawal form.
UC Santa Barbara
To formally withdraw your application PRIOR to receiving an admission decision, please email [email protected]. If you would like to cancel your application AFTER being admitted, please decline your offer of admission in your applicant portal. If you have already submitted your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to UCSB, please email [email protected]. All emails should be sent from the email address used on your UC Application and should include your full name and UC Application ID in the body of the email.
UC Santa Cruz
Go to: https://cruzid.ucsc.edu/idmuser_self_service to claim your CruzID. Follow instructions to claim your account and set your CruzID Gold password. Use the self-service option within the MyUCSC portal to withdraw your application
