For a general overview of rules, be sure to read the post, 16 Things You Need to Know to TAG to a UC.

This post includes specifics to the UC Santa Cruz TAG that is in addition to the general rules. It is not definitive in terms of specific majors, so be sure to click the link that goes directly to the UC page at the bottom of this post.

UCSC TAG criteria

  • Complete a minimum of 30 UC-transferable semester (45 quarter) units of coursework with a minimum UC-transferable GPA of 3.0

  • Complete at minimum the seven-course pattern required for admission as a junior transfer by end of spring.

    • Earning a score of 80 or higher on the TOEFL iBT (550 on the paper version); or
